Privacy Policy
Plain English: what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Effective date: June 19, 2026
Hardy Hands is a personal recruiting and introduction service that connects ranch, farm, and feedlot workers with operations that need help. This policy describes the information we handle and how. It reflects how the service actually works today; if our practices change, we'll update this page and its effective date.
Information workers may submit
When you fill out the worker form, you may provide: your name; phone and email; current location and the states you're open to; relocation and housing preferences; who is coming with you (single, couple, family, or team); whether you have dogs or horses; transportation; earliest start date and availability; the pay range you're looking for; the kinds of work you want; a skills checklist; a description of your experience; references you choose to share; your permission setting for whether we may share your info with ranches; and any other notes you add.
Information ranches may submit
When you post an opening, you may provide: the ranch / farm / feedlot name; a contact name; phone and email; location; the role title and type; start date; pay range; housing and benefits; duties; must-have and nice-to-have skills; deal breakers; your fee-agreement selection; your acknowledgment of the founding managed-search terms; and any other notes.
Contact forms
If you use the contact form, we receive the name, phone or email, and message you provide so we can respond.
How we use information
We use the information you submit to operate the service: to review and respond to submissions, screen workers, verify ranch roles, match workers to roles, contact you, and — only with the safeguards described below — make introductions. We do not sell your personal information.
Screening and matching
Submissions are reviewed by a person. We also use automated steps to help organize and prioritize information — for example, scoring and detecting skills mentioned in a description — but these are aids for a human decision, not automatic hiring decisions. Matching considers real factors like experience, location, housing, pay, and timing.
When candidate information may be shared
A worker's private contact information is shared with a ranch only after specific safeguards are satisfied: (1) the worker has given permission to share their information, (2) the ranch has accepted the applicable fee terms, and (3) the introduction has been approved. These conditions are re-checked against current records at the moment of any introduction, so a withdrawn permission or unaccepted terms re-locks the introduction. We do not promise that information is never shared under any circumstances — we share it to make an introduction you've enabled, and we may share information where required by law.
Worker permission requirements
Your permission setting controls whether your information may be sent to a ranch. If you choose “contact me first,” we will reach out to you before sharing your details. You can change your preference or ask us to stop sharing at any time by contacting us.
Payment and pricing records
For ranches, we keep records related to the managed-search terms you acknowledged, including which pricing applied, the fee status, and the date and version of your acknowledgment. We do not currently process card payments through this website, and we do not collect or store card numbers here. Workers never pay Hardy Hands.
Cookies
The public website does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The only cookie we set is a sign-in cookie for the private Hardy Headquarters admin dashboard; it is HttpOnly and is used solely to keep an administrator logged in. Workers and ranches using the public site are not given this cookie.
Service providers
We rely on third-party providers to run the service, and information you submit is processed and stored on their systems under their own terms:
- Supabase — database hosting where submissions and records are stored.
- Vercel — application hosting and delivery of the website.
- Google Workspace — business email and related tools we use to communicate with you.
- Resend — email delivery, used only if and when transactional email is enabled.
These providers store data on their infrastructure. We share with them only what is needed to operate the service.
Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect information — for example, database access is restricted to our server using a secret key, row-level security is enabled, the admin session cookie is HttpOnly, and traffic is served over HTTPS in production. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data retention
We keep the information you submit for as long as needed to provide the service and to maintain reasonable business records. If you'd like your information removed, contact us and we will work with you on your request. We do not currently delete records automatically on a fixed schedule.
Requests to access, correct, or delete information
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you've shared. Email hello@hardyhandsag.com and we'll respond. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and some information may be retained where we have a legitimate business or legal reason to keep it.
